I had this blank apron for years and decided to use my fabric paints to decorate it. I also used a stencil by #stencilgirl. #paint #painting #fabric #heart #design #color #textile #mixedmedia #handmade
It's been a while since my last post, I know, but we recently had our Summer vacations in Chile. A while ago I started to play with alcohol inks and the end results were not very pleasing to me. I tried stamping, doodling, mark making but I knew it wasn't what I was looking for so, I started trying new techniques like this one which I like because of the flowy look of it and I thought what can I do to incorporate alcohol inks in my absolutely favorite which is COLLAGE. Then I
This week's song is "iris" by Goo Goo Dolls and this is my interpretation. I used Stitched 01 by Carol Wiebe's stencil for the background, created with art tissue paper showed in this VIDEO and S287 by Andrea Matus DeMeng's for the face. Just in case you missed my technique, here I show it to you #stencilgirl #thestencilfiedjournal #color #design #collage #mixedmedia #paint
I'm playing this year again with #thestencilfiedjournal 2019 hosted by Tina Walker for #stencilgirl.
For this year the prompts are songs. The song chosen by Tina for this week is "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen and this is (sort of..) my interpretation. #stencilgirl #thestencilfiedjournal #journal #mixedmedia #color #collage #design #paint #painting #sew
Just sharing a recent collage I've made. I like to create in neutral colors sometimes even I'm more of a colorful person. In this particular piece I've incorporated paint, which I normally don't unless I use a gelli print as a background. #color #collage #paper #handmade #mixedmedia #doodling #paint #painting #background #craft #ink #design
This is a piece I created for a local contest where the theme was "The Diaspora". The Bible refers to the Diaspora of Jews exiled from Israel by the Babylonians. This canvas did't win any price. Next, I'm showing the process to create the focal point, which was over a wood frame. The whole piece was made on a 30"X40" birch wood cradled panel. After almost all the pieces were adhered, I covered everything with black gesso Details of the focal point #3Dobject #altered #collage
I started with one idea for this little panel but it ended being totally different from what I thought. I wanted to use this plaster circle I did a while ago, so suddenly I placed it over the background which was too small (5"X7"), so I finally I mounted it on a 20"X20" canvas. Many stencils, tea bags, only three colors, (medium gray, light gray and yellow, all matte finish paints) and wire. The piece with circles was made with a technique I just discovered and will be showe
