I love making tags because of the small space you work on (even these are really big). I was inspired by Christy Sobolewski to make a journal page out of collaged manila tags, (#tagology). Sometimes while creating I find myself thinking out of the box and this time I was going to make a wonky town but that huge tree came to my mind and I finally did like a forest town, totally unexpected!! I have to confess I'm not sure I like it but I spent so much time with the butterflies, doodling, stamping, etc. that I decided to post it. I love to buy old advertisements but never use them (sounds familiar?), now I used one on this collage as an experiment. As I said in my home page, I'm so very happy for this renewal and I decided to launch it on my birthday as my own gift. I have to thank my son Felipe for encouraging and helping me in this task. I did this collage on a corrugated cardboard covering it completely with newspaper. As you already may know I love collages and after three weeks out of town, I was eager to make one. I used tons of leftovers of die cuts, failed stamped images, gelli prints, paper I use to clean my brayer when painting or spraying and a few pieces of Thai paper.
